Copying Content, Players, Templates or Locations

October 4, 2019 Josiah Feuerbacher

Welcome to DoYouFWI, my brand new blog series dedicated to The FWI User. Whether you’re just getting started or a seasoned veteran of the Four Winds product, this blog will demonstrate some tips and tricks to help you in your day-to-day use of the products.

As my first Did You Know, I wanted to point out a HUGE time saver. This little trick goes unknown by even the most advanced users, so don’t feel too bad if you’ve missed it!

You can easily copy entire sections of your network tree by simply:

Right Clicking + Dragging

That’s it. So simple. Right click on an item and drag it to a new place in the tree. When you release the right mouse button, you’ll see a dropdown menu that lets you either move those items, or copy them.

You can use this trick to copy content to new regions, duplicate a template and keep all its content intact, or to copy an entire location.

If that blew your mind, stay tuned! Over the course of this series we’ll look at everything from simple keyboard shortcuts to advanced scripting techniques; All time savers for you, The FWI User. #DoYouFWI?
