Do You Have the Right Enclosures for Your Digital Signage Solution?

Does your digital signage fully enhance the customer experience? Let's discuss how an enclosure can do just that! With the proper décor, size and location of enclosure, you can change how people experience your digital signage solution. To get the most out of your digital signage, please consider these line items when deciding the types of enclosures you need:

Aesthetics: What should the sign’s physical exterior solution look like? Should the digital sign mimic or match the aesthetics of the existing static signage? Do you want simple, clean and basic or something more elaborate and unique? The local décor surrounding the sign should be a factor in the type and finish of your enclosure.

A.D.A. (Americans with Disabilities Act) Considerations:  Does the sign meet A.D.A. compliance from an interactive height, wall protrusion depth, raised visual/tactile copy (if applicable), tripping hazards on the floor, etc.? Can the visually impaired or wheelchair bound individuals use this product? While it is required to think about these things, tailoring your digital signage enclosures to meet the needs of every segment of your target audience is imperative to the success of your project.

Location: Is the location specified for the sign the best placement from a wayfinding or traffic-flow standpoint? As with everything else about digital signage, the audience and your intended message should determine both where the signs are placed and, in turn, the types enclosure you need.

Safety: Are there any sharp or protruding objects on the enclosure? Has it been installed properly to avoid potential safety hazards? Safety is paramount when dealing with digital signage enclosures, making it extremely important to work with installation experts.

Security and Serviceability: Is your electronic equipment in danger of theft or damage? When considering overall safety, you also have to think about the security of your hardware. And while enclosures keep things secure, you also need to consider how easy it is to access and service your displays.

There is a lot to consider when optimizing your digital signage installation with high-quality enclosures, but if you address the main points, above, you will be well on your way to creating an impactful overall solution.
