Let’s take a break from the lessons and tutorials this week. Instead, let’s talk about the future.
What do you want to see changed or added in the software? What features or functionality would impress your customers or patrons, bridge the communication gap inside your organization or simply make your life easier by improving your workflow?
What do you love, cherish and want to see expanded inside the product? Conversely, what drives you absolutely crazy, nearing insanity, right up to the tipping point of total world destruction (come on... we all have those moments…)?
As a Product Manager, I want to hear from you. In fact, a huge portion of my entire role is to be that voice, your voice, inside our organization (and of course to collect, compile, analyze, prioritize, disseminate and otherwise lose sleep over your feedback).
So, if you have an idea for the product, I would encourage you to visit our Ideas Forum:
The Ideas Forum has a few key features. First and foremost, you can submit your own idea. The Product Management team reviews new ideas regularly and uses the feedback from ideas to drive the direction of our product.
Second, you can vote on other people’s ideas. And this is really, really important. As ideas gather more votes, we will prioritize those ideas in our product roadmap. It is important for us to add features and functionality that address real user needs. The more votes, the more users, the higher the need, the higher the priority. Furthermore, voting on an issue will help you stay up-to-date on new releases. We’re still ironing out the technical details, but one goal of the Idea Forum is to have automated notices when an idea is released in the software. By that, I mean you could receive an email with all the features that you voted on which are making it into the next release. As a user, this is going to help you decide whether or not to upgrade with the next release.
Alright, that’s it for today! As always, I’m very excited about your feedback, and to hear your answer to the question: #DoYouFWI?
